This year, FLI NET is privileged to be having its first in-person conference since the beginning of COVID-19. Organized and hosted by FLI's distinguished UK partner, Irwin Mitchell, FLI NET prepares itself for an eventful and insightful 4-day conference in the iconic city of Manchester, United Kingdom.
Annual FLI NET conferences are events hosted and organized by local partner firms. In these exclusive events, both clients and FLI member firms come together to provide, gain and exchange insightful and invaluable best practices, fueling FLI NET's culture of legal excellence. Throughout such conferences, attendants participate in strategic workshops, network with other member partners and FLI clients and receive crucial insights from renowned industry experts. But it's not all serious, as FLI annual conferences are also a time to get to know each other, explore the host city and engage in local culture and customs.
In preparation for this year's annual spring conference, Irwin Mitchell has been hard at work behind the scenes, organizing and preparing a truly one-of-a kind experience for FLI 17th annual spring conference. Some of the main events will include visiting Manchester United FC's iconic stadium "Old Trafford", the Museum of Science & Industry, and MediaCity. At the culmination of the conference, FLI NET partners and clients will have the privilege of participating in this year's gala dinner, this time under the wings of the legendary Concorde.
Throughout the conference, FLI NET will also be privileged to hear from renowned industry experts, business and legal practitioners. Amongst those attending, FLI NET will be fortunate to hear from:
Orlando Casares (Founder & CEO of FLI) recounts:
"This year more than ever, we are looking forward to welcoming you to FLI’S 20th Year Anniversary Annual Spring Conference. If we learned one thing during the past two years of forced seclusion is that while resilient to overcome what may come our way, humans still like to mingle and socialize. The conference is essential to not only reconnect with dear friends and network with clients, mentors, members, and associates that we have not seen face to face for some time, but to also showcase the significant improvements that FLI has undergone since our last conference in Vienna 2019."
“We are excited to have one of our closest members, Irwin Mitchell, a leading UK law firm, host us in the beautiful city of Manchester. We know they have gone above and beyond preparing so that this event is truly an unforgettable experience to all in attendance, including those who due travel restrictions will join us virtually."
Among the key themes, this year's conference will focus on the future of international business, opportunities for foreign direct investment in the UK and abroad. This will also be a time to showcase new developments in FLI's business, technology and marketing departments as well as announce a number of new digital tools, making FLI's legal tech even better and easier to use. Other topics will also be covered, including but not limited to: risk, resilience and reputation; cyber security and data protection; employment and immigration; real estate, financial services and more.
Bryan Bletso, Partner and Head of International at Irwin Mitchell, with a seat on the Advisory Board of FLI also stated:
“Being the UK member of FLI is a key strand of our international growth strategy as it builds our global reach, opens up exciting networks for our teams, and provides opportunities for our UK clients wishing to grow their worldwide footprint.
